My name is Kira Ann, a Digital Illustrator and creator of Stardust Creations and Design.
 

Many of us have heard the philosophy, “We are all made from stardust.” I always found it such a captivating idea, full of wonder and magic. I like to imagine painting with the stars as I form the memories of loved ones lost or bring life to imagination. With this in mind, you’ll always find a touch of the galaxy in each illustration.

Don’t let the “digital” title fool you! I was creating art long before ever working with digital paint. 
I began my artistic career sitting on my bed with a lined notebook, teaching myself to draw the Disney characters on my blankets. Eventually, my imagination broadened and I wanted to explore my own worlds, create my own characters. I found a love doing this very thing and by high school, I had sketchbooks full of not only my characters, but my friends’ characters as well. We would write our own stories together and bring everything to life through my art along with that of a few other creative friends I learned from and improved with.
 

Over 15 years ago, I walked into my first college Illustration course to find computers with tablets lining the walls. I had just started teaching myself digital art and those classes were invaluable. I had so many creative tools at my fingertips! And yet it still took some years to utilize them, so stuck in my traditional roots.

I dreamed of working for a big video game company, but dreams don’t always come true the way you think they will in your 20’s… so I now find myself here on the outskirts of my town with my little family, painting visions from stardust. ✨
